We now have the opportunity to sign up online to ring the bell for the Salvation Army.  The LOAF churches volunteer each December at both WalMart and Cortland Sparkle.  Slots at Sparkle are going fast so if you care to help please do the following:

Rise Against Hunger

Although the LOAF sponsored Rise Against Hunger event is not until Sept 21 it is not too early to ask for donations so we can see how many meals we will be able to afford. One bag of rice, soy, vegetables, and vitamins, when reconstituted, serves 6 and costs $2 (a little price increase from 2017).

OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES

PERSONAL  HYGIENE  ITEMS–  Needed  by  Salvation Army  for  those  who  come  into  the  facility  to shower.   Especially  useful  are  motel-sized shampoos,  lotions,  and  soaps.    Clean  used  bath towels,  combs,  and  toothbrushes  are  also  gratefully accepted. 

School bags will be needed again this year.
