FOOD PANTRY OPENS

Lakeview K-8 Building

The food pantry is asking for toiletries for the students who need them as Second Harvest and other programs do not provide such.  Deodorant, feminine hygiene products, soap, body wash, and shampoo will be joyfully received.  There is a plastic bin on the table in the fellowship hall where such donations can be placed.

This year’s concert was beautiful in every way! The Cortland Community Band chose and played perfect Christmas music! The choir’s performance was beyond every expectation! The cookies were delicious and plentiful! But most important is the money that was donated by the very generous patrons! Everyone dug deep into their pockets to help the high school purchase new band uniforms!

BELL RINGERS NEEDED!

 After ringing the bell at Walmart for many years we now will be doing it at Sparkle in Cortland  and only for a short period of time.  Prince of Peace is responsible for one hour shifts on Friday, December 7 from 3:30-7:30.  That is only 4 shifts!!! ADOPT A FOOT

We needs your donations now. We have been assisted by the Cortland Rotary and Cortland Lions and have requested money from the Cortland Salvation Army unit. We are about 2/3 of the way to our goal of $3600. The children will shop the week before Thanksgiving. Shoes are again $30 per pair.

We are collecting non-perishable foods of any kind but specifically cereal, peanut butter, and tuna These items will be distributed in the Champion Thanksgiving Food Baskets. Monetary donations are also welcome as each recipient receives a gift certificate for shopping at Sparkle.

The parish is looking for volunteers to ring the bell for Salvation Army annual fund drive. If you can help, please see Jean Bolinger.

All money collected at Cortland Sparkle and the middle door of WalMart during December weekends will stay in this area.

CALLING ALL SINGERS!

Our community will come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus through music of the season! Our free concert will take place Monday, December 17th at 7:00 PM at Lakeview High School. This event stars the much loved Cortland Community Band and features the Community Choir. Lakeview Outreach and Fellowship (LOAF) plays a supporting role in this production.
