BELL RINGERS NEEDED!

 After ringing the bell at Walmart for many years we now will be doing it at Sparkle in Cortland  and only for a short period of time.  Prince of Peace is responsible for one hour shifts on Friday, December 7 from 3:30-7:30.  That is only 4 shifts!!! Please let Jean Bolinger know if you can take one shift-3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30. 5:30-6:30, or 6:30-7:30

LOAF THANKSGIVING SERVICE AND SERRV SALE

  Tuesday, Nov.. 20  at 7 PM at Prince of Peace. Our annual community worship service will be followed by a SERRV sale, an opportunity to support artisans and farmers from around the world who make a fair wage and create beautiful gifts.  This is an opportunity to help them and to find unique and reasonably priced items for those special people on your list

ADOPT A FOOT

We needs your donations now. We have been assisted by the Cortland Rotary and Cortland Lions and have requested money from the Cortland Salvation Army unit. We are about 2/3 of the way to our goal of $3600. The children will shop the week before Thanksgiving. Shoes are again $30 per pair. Any donations  are welcomed. Checks need to be made out to Prince of Peace with “Adopt a Foot” or “shoes” on the memo line.

REMEMBER THE POOR

November 15 at SJ We are collecting non-perishable foods of any kind but specifically cereal, peanut butter, and tuna These items will be distributed in the Champion Thanksgiving Food Baskets. Monetary donations are also welcome as each recipient receives a gift certificate for shopping at Sparkle.

CORTLAND CHRISTMAS CONCERT

CALLING ALL SINGERS! Our community will come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus through music of the season! Our free concert will take place Monday, December 17th at 7:00 PM at Lakeview High School. This event stars the much loved Cortland Community Band and features the Community Choir. SJ 60TH ANNIVERSARY PLANS

Nov 18 after Congregation Meeting Thank you to everyone who came to our first planning meeting on Oct 21. We’ll be updating our plans for the big Six O on Nov 18. So far we have a date— Sunday, January 27th. Bishop Allende will join us. We will have a worship service and a catered dinner at SJ. The children POPLC buys for are served by the Cortland food pantry or attend Maplewood School. The children SJLC buys for are from the Champion community.
