Third Sunday in Lent

During Lent we accompany Jesus to his cross and resurrection, and this coming Sunday we stop at a well to receive a drink of water. The water turns out to be Christ himself. Come to worship, and join all of us thirsty people, made alive in Christ.

Suspension of Sunday Services

Having heard from Pastor Gail and most PoP Council members it is best we cancel Sunday services and all other events at PoP for the weeks of 15, 22, and 29 March. This three week period corresponds with the time area schools will be closed. This is prudent in view of growing number of cases in Ohio, age of our congregation, and reports today that 5 students in Lakeview Schools may have been exposed to the virus. Bob Mangold, PoP Council President

St. John’s will also cancel Sunday Worship Services and any other church events for the weeks of March 15th, March 22nd and March 29th. This coincides with the Governor’s recent mandates for public gatherings. If there are community organizations using the St. John building for their meetings, we will leave it up to them to cancel their gatherings.

Thank You

Heartfelt thanks from the Bolinger family.
On behalf of the entire Bolinger family, I want to thank you for your love and support as we said goodbye to an amazing woman. The memorial service was a true celebration of Mom’s life, and the reception that followed allowed us meaningful time with family and friends. Mom always spoke of her “church family,“ and we are blessed by such an amazing group of brothers and sisters in Christ. -Merrilee Bolinger Jacobson
