Bell Ringers Needed
We now have the opportunity to sign up online to ring the bell for the Salvation Army. The LOAF churches volunteer each December at both WalMart and Cortland Sparkle. Slots at Sparkle are going fast so if you care to help please do the following:
Go to www.cortlandchristianchurch.com
Click on Ministries tab
Click on LOAF at the bottom of that tab menu
Click on Walmart or Sparkle
You can then select the date, and time you can assist for one hour.
This procedure will greatly reduce scheduling conflicts. If two of you want to work together you will both need to sign up.

THE MITTEN TREE @ POP:

HATS, GLOVES, SCARVES, SOCKS, UNDERWEAR are welcomed by all the area schools as winter approaches. We will turn our GIVING TREE into a MITTEN TREE after Christmas. Any size accessories, underwear, and socks are needed at Maplewood, Lakeview, Champion, and Warren Schools. These are often items that some families cannot afford to purchase so your help is needed.

Community Christmas Concert

The LOAF sponsored Christmas Concert, Christmas in Cortland, will be Wednesday, December 18th at 7 Pm at Lakeview High School. The main stars are the musicians of the renowned Cortland Community Band. The supporting cast is the Community Chorus which consists of local singers, many of whom are Prince of Peace members or folks closely connected to our church. Ike, Ed, Lisa, Carol C., Mary A., Cathy G., Fritz, Clyde, Jean B., Chloe, Vanessa, and Rita are in this group.

LOAF is accepting donations for the two local fire departments to assist them to purchase bulletproof vests to protect the EMS workers in the event of a shooter situation. Wearing such a vest will allow for them to attend to the wounded at an earlier time and therefore save more lives. The music this year is just beautiful! Don’t miss it! If you do miss it, you will not get any of the 1,000 cookies served after the concert.
